Welcome to my web site.

I am Bruce Morgan, DPM (Doctor of Podiatric Medicine), a specialist in the care of the foot, ankle, and lower leg. I am Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery both in foot and ankle surgery.

Services offered:

  • Evaluation and treatment of most foot problems
  • Trimming of nails and cutting of "corns" and calluses
  • Diabetic foot and wound care
  • Orthotic devices for heel pain and "flat feet"
  • Evaluation and treatment of runners injuries
  • Treatment of ingrown toenails, with permanent correction available
  • Surgical correction of bunions, hammer toes, bone spurs, etc
  • Molded shoes for the individual with severely deformed feet

I received my Bachelors Degree in Biology from Houghton College in Houghton, NY. My Doctorate is from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia. At graduation, I received the Skversky Award in Peripheral Vascular Disease for my paper on Cold Injuries.

Upon graduation, I did a residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at the Broad Street Hospital and Medical Center in Philadelphia.

I wanted more experience and training before starting private practice. The Air Force was a good place to get this experience. I elected an assignment at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, MS. At that time it was a 330 bed teaching and referral center that was responsible for the definitive care of all active duty, retirees and dependents in seven Southeastern states.

At Keesler I had the opportunity to work with an outstanding podiatrist, Stephen Schmidt, as well as orthopaedists, plastic surgeons, and vascular surgeons. The podiatrists were responsible for all foot care, including fractures. We also had teaching responsibilities with both surgical and medical residents.

Army Medical Center, Landstuhl Germany

After leaving the Air Force, I started a private practice in Washington State. While living in Washington, I joined the Army Reserve. After September 11, 2001, I was assigned to the Army Medical Center at Landstuhl, Germany.

After my assignment in Landstuhl, Germany, I worked briefly for the Federal Government, both in Indian Health Services and the Veterans Administration. I recently retired from the Army Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel.

I chose to open a private practice in Fargo, ND in March 2006

Every year I attend several major continuing education meetings in order to stay current with changes in the care and treatment of the lower extremity. While making every effort to stay current, I try to separate the gimmicks and fads from techniques that will be of greater benefit to the patient.

My promise to you, the patient, is that I will not recommend any care program to you that I would not want recommended to a member of my family.

Thank you for visiting my web site.
